A Safe Haven for Women and Children

Mustard Seed Shelter provides women and families experiencing homelessness with a safe, nurturing space to heal, grow and rebuild their lives. Our shelter program is thoughtfully designed to meet the unique needs of each guest, offering comfort, dignity and the resources they need to succeed.

Hope Lives Here

  • Separate Wings for Comfort and Privacy: The house is divided into a wing for single women and another for women with children, ensuring a sense of community while respecting personal space.

  • Private Bedrooms: Guests enjoy private bedrooms, offering a safe and secure place to rest and recharge.

  • Semi-Private Bathrooms: Bathrooms are shared with only a few other guests, ensuring convenience and privacy.

  • Full Kitchens: Each wing includes fully equipped kitchens where guests can prepare meals, fostering independence and life skills.

  • Basic Necessities Provided: We supply the essentials, including meals, hygiene products, and clothing from our on-site clothing boutique.

  • Community Spaces: Shared areas such as the workout area, children’s arts and playroom, and living spaces encourage connection and collaboration among residents.

  • Internet Access: Guests have access to the internet, essential for job searches, education, and staying connected with loved ones.

Holistic Support for Lasting Change

While living at Mustard Seed Shelter, guests receive comprehensive support tailored to their individual journeys. From obtaining identification and securing basic needs to connecting with life-changing services like counseling, recovery support, parenting classes, and job training, we help guests address the root causes of their crisis and build a foundation for lasting stability.

No Time Limits, Just Support

We understand that healing and rebuilding take time. That’s why Mustard Seed Shelter doesn’t place time limits on a guest’s stay. On average, women and families stay 3–6 months, during which they receive the tools, encouragement, and support needed to take the next steps toward independence.
